With less than 10hrs on the engines (9.3hrs on the port engine and 9.9hrs on the starboard motor) this 2008 Galeon 390 Fly is effectively brand new and unused.
The boat has spent only a single season in a fresh water lake in Ireland since she was built in 2008. The rest of the time she has been laid up in dry storage due to the owner’s lack of time to use the boat. The owner has consequently decided to sell the boat and she now represents a fantastic opportunity for someone looking for stylish 38-40ft flybridge cruiser.
If you are considering a new boat and like the idea of getting a vessel that hasn’t been used and abused, but don’t want to part with the sort of cash that the manufacturers are looking for in return for that privilege, then this could be the boat for you. This boat has never been slept in, the galley has never been used and she still looks like she just came out of the wrapper.
The Galeon 390 Fly has a very sociable layout with a large saloon and a large galley-up arrangement on the main deck, and a huge flybridge that combines a wrap-around seating area with a wide sunpad aft. The large, covered, aft cockpit area further extends the living space and means that there is no shortage of options for comfortably entertaining guests on board. The sleeping accommodation is great for a family of 5 or more. With 5 permanent berths in 3 well appointed cabins and a spacious heads with a separate shower room, the live-aboard facilities are perfect for weekends on board or extended trips away.
The stylish look and feel of this boat however are only part of the story… With an extremely solid build and excellent attention to detail, the Galeon 390 is a very practical cruising boat. She is RCD Category B rated and has all the capability you’ll need from a safe coastal cruising boat – a solid deep-v hull designed by Tony Castro, substantial mooring gear, safe access along the side decks, great visibility from the helm and very high quality engineering below decks.
The spec level on this boat also leaves very little to be desired. This example is fitted with a pair of 260HP Volvo Penta D4 Diesel Sterndrives, Sidepower Bow Thruster, an onboard Genset, teak decking throughout and Webasto Warm Air Heating.
All in all this boat is extremely well appointed, in genuine ‘as-new’ condition, and well worth a look if you are considering a nearly new 38 – 40ft flybridge boat.
